Member Chloe99 Posted May 14, 2012 Member Report Share Posted May 14, 2012 Here's a screenshot of a 3d-scanned surface of a girl. On the left you see the girl's shoulder was not caught in the scan. I wonder what the quickest, crudest way the shoulder might be filled-in in 3d Coat such as is filled in red on the right?
Reputable Contributor digman Posted May 14, 2012 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted May 14, 2012 There are many ways, here is one... Once you have merged the girl into 3DCoat try using the below. Use the clone tool to grab a part of her left shoulder. use the splines from the e-panel to highlight your shoulder selection. Drag the left shoulder piece off to one side and press enter to merge the piece. Now select the split tool to put that shoulder piece on it's own layer. Use the splines from the e-panel again. Flip the symmetry of the of the object, It is under the vox tree tab. (Flip x,y or z) Use the transform tool to position the shoulder piece Clean it up to fit better. You can merge the shoulder piece layer to the girl layer if you desire too. Under the vox tree tab (Merge) This way you have at least have some of the dress pattern to help fill in that area
