Member Frozencry Posted July 9, 2009 Member Report Share Posted July 9, 2009 Hi guys. I'm fairly new to 3Dcoat and sculpting in general, however I've always had an interest in 3D, and currently am doing a diploma involving 3D modelling and animation in Lightwave. Really loving 3DCoat at the moment, and being a massive Blizzard fan, decided to try for a Hydralisk from StarCraft, this is the result: Let me know what you think, and I'm open to suggestions and improving overall. Definitely recommend full sizing the image too. PS: I'm aware there's some odd artifacts in the render, I didn't know how to remove them
Javis
Looks good so far. What school are you attending? Good choice on LW by the way.
Member Frozencry Posted July 10, 2009 Author Member Report Share Posted July 10, 2009 Cheers. Currently attending at Randwick TAFE, based in Sydney, Australia. Fairly minor however my teacher for 3D has been great and it's easily my favourite part of the course (we do several other things as well). Javis
Cool. I do hope you continue to post work here. This is pretty good for being new to a sculpting app. Do you have a traditional sculpting background, or a knack for 3D?
Member Frozencry Posted July 12, 2009 Author Member Report Share Posted July 12, 2009 I have no sculpting background, it's my third or fourth attempt at sculpting with the Hydralisk. I've always had a huge and passionate interest in 3D though and do intend on working in the industry. I'll definitely be posting more as soon as I make more.
