I thought about it myself, but I already own a license of Thea, which is much like Octane, in that it is unbiased and GPU-based. But it actually uses the CPU to help render parts of the scene, too. I am also about to switch from 3ds Max to Blender, and Thea + Cycles is plenty enough GPU rendering goodness for me. Would be an awesome deal for someone who uses Houdini or Lightwave, as Octane is the only 3rd party GPU render for those apps. You might try and list it on those forums, too. Probably are a number of folks who have been riding the fence about buying an Octane license, and it might help them make the plunge.

Reputable Contributor AbnRanger Posted March 28, 2016 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted March 28, 2016 hey do you mind to suggest some other forum or site in which this topic fits into? You might try the Foundry forums, too. As Octane is the only GPU render available for Modo. They have VRay, but it's my understanding that it is still in Beta (unless that has changed) and that the GPU Interactive render that Vray has in Max, is CPU only in Modo. Newtek (Lightwave related) forums, classified section: http://forums.newtek.com/forumdisplay.php?50-Classifieds Foundry forums, Marketplace: http://community.thefoundry.co.uk/discussion/forum.aspx?f=
