  1. No, I haven't tried that. I have discovered that the tablet is actually working - not sure what changed. So I've installed the Wacom drivers and will take it for a spin. I don't know what, if anything, the developers need from me at this point to figure out why the software is running so slowly.
  2. My tablet died, so I'm making do for now. I've seen/heard of a lot of trouble being caused by Wacom drivers of late, so have been holding fire until the dust settles. The slow down is the same for both 4.8.03 and 4.8.07, so I don't think it's installation-related.
  3. Not sure what to say. The nVidia drivers from GeForce Experience are installed (388.71) and DirectX is being used by games, etc. as one might expect. For both OpenGL and DirectX, the experience is extremely laggy and I can't explain why that might be, either.
  4. Andrew pointed me at this thread, so I hope there's no issue in me posting here. I'm seeing severe performance issues with both 4.8.03 and 4.8.07 on the following system : 6700K 64 GB RAM 6 GB GTX 1060, current drivers via Geforce Experience Win 10 Pro (Slow Ring Insider) SSD storage throughout. Using the example humanoid with voxel sculpting, the lag is over the order of a second or more between action and response. This is pretty much identical between GL and Direct X, maximized or small window application. I don't have 3D Connexion drivers installed, but do have the device (physically disconnected, rarely used) Using the navigator test build, DirectX is reporting a constant 60 fps. OpenGL is reporting a varying ~1500 fps Log.txt
  5. The Mac build seems to be a couple of revisions behind. Is there a scheduled update for this version of 3D Coat?
  6. I think this kind of effort really needs a bugtracker so that reports won't get lost. That said, I'm seeing the viewport blackout in volumetric sculpting mode if I deselect 'cast shadows' on my MacBook Pro running 10.5.5 and the most recent build of 3DC3.
  7. Anyone else finding it impossible to do the following : 1) Switch on symmetry in X 2) Try and switch to Y or Z symmetry 3) Try and reset symmetry 2) and 3) don't work here, and I find myself stuck in X symmetry mode.
  8. Pacifist will allow you to extract to any destination from the installer file. I shoved it into a new folder under Applications and 3DC works just fine, although slowly. Dragging the cursor around the standard ball object as a quick test, I got gaps in both painted and sculpted strokes. There's a full time render going on in the background, but I expected 3DCoat to be able to simply record the strokes and eventually (after dragging) give me the correct result. Breaking strokes is not nice.
  9. How is the licensing handled? I'm currently running 3D Coat under CrossOver Office, but is a license for Windows also going to be good for the Mac version?
