Advanced Member rimasson Posted May 15, 2008 Advanced Member Report Share Posted May 15, 2008 In Zbrush, you have a stroke parameter called 'Samples' It sample the orientation and depth of the surface under the brush cursor, and average it more or less, depending on it's value. (maybe it sample a larger or a smaller portion ) It's very usefut to draw more cleaner strokes.
Advanced Member rimasson Posted June 24, 2008 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted June 24, 2008 There's another Zbrush feature that i'd like to have in 3Dcoat. i think it's quite easy to implement, and it's very useful to me : A brush that act like the Clay and flatten Brushes. There's 'almost' that kind of brush in 3D coat : It's the plane tool. i only miss an elevation value to add or remove depth to the model while the model is Filled, or made planar or Cut off. Advanced Member rimasson Posted June 24, 2008 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted June 24, 2008 The Equivalent of Zbrush's flatten brush is the 'Make planar mode' with an elevation. The equivalent of the Zbrush's clay brush are the Fill and Cut off modes of the Plane tool, with an elevation It's very useful when i want to add like a smooth coat of clay on a model.
