PolyHertz
In 3DCoat the brush paints based on the angle of the surface it's over which is a really good thing because it means no paint streaks/stretching. However, in some cases I'd like the brush to just be flat to the screen and project on to the model instead. It's easy to do this in a 2D editor via "Edit Projections in Ext. Editor", but is it possible to do this directly in the 3DC viewport as well? Edited May 22, 2013 by PolyHertz
Reputable Contributor digman Posted May 23, 2013 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted May 23, 2013 From the Main Menu Textures / Texture UV Editor Now you can paint on the flat uv islands. You are not painting on the projection image of course but directly on the uv islands. This is not what you are asking for but if you were unaware of this workflow this could be helpful as well. There is no flat projection painting directly in the viewport as you described but only in a external editor...
