Member Cowtail Posted June 8, 2014 Member Share Posted June 8, 2014 (edited) Hello everyone! I had purchased 3DCoat a while back but never used it for anything but unwrapping models until now. I've gotta get with the times and start sculpting This thread is for all of my works in progress. This is my first sculpt ever (minus a lumpy Rhino head ). A Weasel creature I designed a while back. About ready to have a go at detailing! Edited June 8, 2014 by Cowtail
Contributor Tony Nemo Posted June 8, 2014 Contributor Share Posted June 8, 2014 Good likeness! Are you going for fur?
Member Cowtail Posted June 9, 2014 Author Member Share Posted June 9, 2014 (edited) Thanks Tony Nemo, yeah I'm sculpting the fur, but I'm trying to concentrate it in certain areas and keep it stylized. I've got most of that done, but I probably need to do more work on it before I Res+ again (at 7.7m triangles at the moment) Updated below. I've also begun etching in the tattoos. I'm really digging 3DCoat now that I can make stuff the way I want to, rather than lumpy blobs [edit] High res image here Edited June 9, 2014 by Cowtail
Member Cowtail Posted June 27, 2014 Author Member Share Posted June 27, 2014 Ugh, so I finally got to come back to this guy, and redid the fur on the chest and knees, filled the mouth with teeth and tongue, eyelids (not shown), and some minor detailing. I'm thinking of detailing most of the body with fur, if I don't get it to look right then screw it :P
Contributor Tony Nemo Posted June 28, 2014 Contributor Share Posted June 28, 2014 Your 'fur' need not be so 3D or built up, but rather engraved with some alpha suitable for hair.
