Member orlando Posted December 29, 2014 Member Report Share Posted December 29, 2014 Please see the attached files that show my problem in detail. I modeled an ear and manually retopoed it. Set everything (UVs, backing settings, etc.) up as usual... and got a kind of inverted mesh with empty textures. This never happened to me before and I just don't know what's wrong here. Contributor Solution Tony Nemo Posted December 29, 2014 Contributor Solution Report Share Posted December 29, 2014 I think the 'inner shell' is the culprit. Preview the inner shell while adjusting down the number.
Reputable Contributor digman Posted December 29, 2014 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted December 29, 2014 (edited) You made pm me with a place to download the 3DCoat file if you like and I will take a look at it... It is only a ear so should not be too big in size and will be much easier to figure out what is going on... You can decimate the ear too if necessary to create a smaller file size. Keep a backup of the original file. Edited December 29, 2014 by digman
Member orlando Posted December 29, 2014 Author Member Report Share Posted December 29, 2014 Thanks, guys. Increasing the inner distance even more solved the issue and 3DC baked the maps as expected.
