Javis
Hi all, I didn't mention it last time, but I will this time. I've been working with The Foundry to create tutorials for Modo for a while now, and have two videos (one coming out soon). It focuses on creating product vis, from modeling to shading and finally lighting and rendering. Here are the links if you're interested: Modeling: https://www.thefoundry.co.uk/products/modo/training-videos/product-package-training/ Texturing, Lighting, Rendering https://www.thefoundry.co.uk/products/modo/training-videos/texturing-a-product-package-training/ A sidenote on this project. I originally intended for 3DC to be included in these videos, but the 3DC portions didn't make the cut. That said, expect some interesting videos in the near future for 3DC. Thanks all, for the support over the years. It is humbling and rewarding, to know that I can help people learn 3D. Without you all, there would be no videos! Cheers, -Javis
Advanced Member RabenWulf Posted January 30, 2015 Advanced Member Report Share Posted January 30, 2015 As a Modonaught myself, thanks for making these. Would really love to see some tighter integration with 3d coat and Modo, or some kind of partnership in the works. I know once the Foundry acquired Mischief, they began looking into more consumer friend range of software to be part of the Mischief lineup. This could potentially open up some options for 3d coat if they ever decide to "sell out". Not saying they should, but it is an interesting time for software development. So many great options these days, and at an extremely affordable price range.
