Advanced Member erklaerbar Posted June 13, 2015 Advanced Member Report Share Posted June 13, 2015 (edited) Hi, hopefully someone can help with a very annoying problem i have: When i import a mesh into sculpt room as Surface, it automatically adds a corresponding voxel size, for example [0,3]. So when i convert to voxels it will be [0,3] of the size i wanted when importing the model. The automatic applying of size factor can be 100000 or 0,1. Whatever you cant change it. I guess i must miss something obvious, can anyone shed some light on it? thank you Edited June 13, 2015 by erklaerbar
Advanced Member erklaerbar Posted June 14, 2015 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted June 14, 2015 specifically im looking for an option to override voxel size when in surface mode, is that possible? Its very important for me as it breaks my workflow and there is no workaround. So im stuck
Carlosan
Could you scale it at import ?
Advanced Member erklaerbar Posted June 14, 2015 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted June 14, 2015 yes i can scale it, but i must import it to surface first because meshes are not closed. When in surface it doesnt respect the size i scaled it in. It is overridden by a much lower value. reproduce steps: import mesh, scale it to 8 mio polygons but import without voxelation. As soon as it is merged, it will have a [voxel size] attached which cannot be changed. Now convert mesh to voxels, it will be 1 mio polygons instead of
