Clone brush pixelated! What's wrong??

Hello guys!

I have a question that is bugging me about the clone brush.

Long story short, I have a simple voxel model, I retopo it with autopo for per-pixel painting so that I can paint on top of it.

Then unfortunately, when I use the clone brush in the Paint room what I get is something broken, pixelated.

As you can see from the attached image, if I try to clone brush the nice paint around the eye, what I get is a pixelated result.

Can somebody help me out to understand what I'm doing wrong? I'd really appreciate your help.

thanks

Thanks for replying Carlosan,  I'm using one of the first 6 basic circular alphas. I suspect it's not related to the alpha though. If I take a default voxel model from 3d coat and I perform  a simple autopo for per-pixel painting my paint brush works just fine but the clone brush doesn't work. However if I take one of the default 3d coat  models already set for per-pixel, the clone brush works perfectly. That's why I'm wondering if there's something wrong in the way i perform autopo. I just perform the per-pixel autopo with default settings and, apart from this clone brush problem, it seems to work just fine.  Does anyone have any clue? Thanks!

I assembled a sequence of screenshots which should give you a pretty clear idea of what's going on.

These JPGs are quite high rez, so you can zoom in as much as you need.

Since the space available for uploading is not enough I'm uploading the second JPG in the next post.

This JPG shows you the basic workflow I'd need to perform starting from scratch, sculpting a model and getting ultimately to the paint room.

Unfortunately at the end the clone brush doesn't work properly, creating the pixelated look I posted before or not working at all, as in this example.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I've tried but with no success.

I will try on Monday to see if the version of 3dCoat in my office has the same issue. In this way I'll know if there's a corruption problem going on.

Thank you very much for your help! Much appreciated!
