Radial Symmetry Question

Is there a way to lock the radius of the radial symmetry whilst using a brush in the sculpt room?

For example looking at the model in the Top down view where the circularity of the radial symmetry is visible I want to be able to lock the radius so that a brush stroke will follow the circumference.
Is this possible?

No the lasso tool is not what I was looking for.  Say I wanted to carve into the mesh six arcs.  The radial symmetry tool allows me to cut once and have it repeated an additional five times however I have to have a steady hand and eyeball it to try and get a carve that follows the true arc curve of a circle of fixed radius.  Currently the radius of the radial symmetry tool varies from the start to the end of the brush stroke.
