Advanced Member Skaven252 Posted January 7, 2009 Advanced Member Report Share Posted January 7, 2009 I made a quick test with voxel sculpting. Just took a sphere and smudged some detail onto it: I then switched to retopo, and imported a sphere which projected neatly onto the voxel object and automatically created the UV clusters: However, when I merged it into the scene, the object had artifacts on it (which I've circled in red): In low poly mode it displays discontinuities along the UV cluster seams. These appear to be holes in the texture (caused by alpha mapping) rather than split edges. I presume this is a known issue, and the feature is being worked on? Advanced Member psyborgue Posted January 12, 2009 Advanced Member Report Share Posted January 12, 2009 I've had this issue as well. It's resolved easily enough with smoothing. It seems to happen only at seams, so if you place them in flat / hidden areas it shouldn't be much of a problem.
Andrew Shpagin
Fixed, it will work fine in V49
Advanced Member Skaven252 Posted January 15, 2009 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted January 15, 2009 Excellent! Just downloaded, installed and tried it, and can confirm it's now working right.
Member Youth-K Posted January 17, 2009 Member Report Share Posted January 17, 2009 Fixed, it will work fine in V49 It seems to not FIX all. When I retopolizing the vs model with low number (few number) of external polygons, The result model has some visible seams. And with depth controlled pen operating, the seams can visible too, notably.
