Advanced Member Findus Posted August 24, 2017 Advanced Member Report Share Posted August 24, 2017 What might be the reason for the actual retopo primitives not appearing where the ghost primitives are when hitting apply, but far off? Advanced Member Findus Posted August 24, 2017 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted August 24, 2017 To clarify: This is what I'm getting when I apply the primitive on the right. In a newly created testscene it doesn't happen. (Reference mesh hidden for legal reasons.) The Mesh is displaced/offset in two axes.
Reputable Contributor AbnRanger Posted August 24, 2017 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted August 24, 2017 It's because the Scene Scale is off. It happens usually when you import an object and scale it up in the scene. When you hit the APPLY button or ENTER key, you will be asked if you want to preserve the initial scale. If you click NO, then your scene scale will be altered. You can see an explanation about this starting around the 13:07 mark in this video:
Advanced Member Findus Posted August 25, 2017 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted August 25, 2017 Thanks, AbnRanger, that solved it! (Scene scale was 1, but there was a lot of shift) I don't know how it happened, though. Started from image planes created in 3d coat and curves. Will moving (transforming) an object result in a shifted scene?

Andrew should synchronize the scene scale in the Retopo with the Sculpt room, so this doesn't happen.
