Member Lippi Posted February 10, 2009 Member Report Share Posted February 10, 2009 Hello to all! I am new to 3d-coat and downloaded it some days ago. What I have seen so far is looking good and it seems to be an easy to use application. But one question I have. Is it possible to texture real looking fur (lie a dog, cat, tiger...) to a model with 3d-coat? And if yes, how to do this? I guess I will register 3d-coat, but like to have an answer first to my question. Only some day left before my discount will expire.... Andrew Shpagin
You can transfer texture from photo and get fur texture on object. But anyway texture is limited for fur - no real displacement for every hair. In volumetric sculpting (will be in V3) you can make better fur (see example and other example) but anyway fur is render feature of some package (like maya, LW, XSI)
Member Lippi Posted February 11, 2009 Author Member Report Share Posted February 11, 2009 Thanks Andrew, I see. That makes things more clear for me. But anyway, you will have a new customer.
