Member andykarta Posted July 18, 2018 Member Report Share Posted July 18, 2018 Hi. I'm painting an outfit with multiple layers. Some will have depth. But when I paint on a layer above them, the depth of the lower level shows as unwanted contours in the higher layer's paint. I'd like to erase the depth of the lower layer under painted pixels on a higher layer but allow it to show where the pixels in the lower layer are visible. And I don't want to remove depth information from either layer (except where I erase or whatever). And... If there's a way to do it with a clipping layer or mask that would be ideal so I won't have to use brush strokes to erase. I suppose I could hide all the paint on a lower level with the clipping mask set to inverse. But that only effects one layer (as far as I know, but I'm a noob so who knows). Carlosan
Hi You can change depth Blending mode by layer. - Or you might try unchecking Additive painting under the normal icon pulldown. Here is an example of a line painted over another line with Additive painting checked on and another with Additive painting checked off
