Advanced Member Paint Guy Posted February 20, 2009 Advanced Member Report Share Posted February 20, 2009 Mapping Questions 1) Is it now possible to unwrap a model/object in 3DC and then save the UV map as a LCSM or flat map to use in Photoshop for example? Can I now save a 3DC UV map as a Photoshop® file? 2) Last time I was here you couldn't rotate or turn your unwrapped UV map so it was aligned vertically. For example: I created a box object (like a poured cement pad). I then would mark the seams then 3DC would unwrap the object but the resulting UV map would place the parts of the map at angles with no way to make them align horizontally or vertically. Not good if you need to paint parking lot lines on in Photoshop for example. Andrew said he would look at giving users a way to select and rotate the parts of the UV map so they could snap and align vertically and horizontally like in Body Paint. Does anyone know if this has been done yet? Thanks PS is there a way to find your old posts in this Forum from like 6 month ago?

Maybe the last one is what you need;\. 2) Last time I was here you couldn't rotate or turn your unwrapped UV map so it was aligned vertically.
