Member Hotshot Posted May 7, 2020 Member Report Share Posted May 7, 2020 Hello! I made a mesh. I created its UV in Maya. I imported it to 3D Coat. The UVs properly appear in the UV tab. But when I bucket paint, it paints the entire mesh, instead of just the island that I choose. How can I fix this? Thanks
Carlosan
Hi You can open Textures > Texture UV editor and bucket paint over every island. Or switch to UV room and hide/unhide islands to fill only visibles.
Advanced Member pickers Posted May 8, 2020 Advanced Member Report Share Posted May 8, 2020 Normally i would paint in certain "colors" in color only mode to the obj parts in the viewport. Then look for the colors in the texture editor to flood fill them. I do hope for an improvement in the flood fill UV islands only option. That would make life easier.
