[Solved] 3dcoat 4.9.05 won't launch due to failures in a previous session

I had used 4.9.73 but had triggered an out of memory error. I downgraded back to 4.9.05, but launching 3dc still gives errors related to previous session failures.

How do I get 3dc to forget about the problems of the previous session and start new clean one?

Try Edit > Reset settings

Carlosan, that won't work because I get the problem before the UI even launches. Even opening a .3b file that I know is small enough it be launched fails with the errors related to the prior session.

hmmm... try renaming folder C:\Users\username\Documents\3D-CoatV49 to something else and reinstall

Carlosan, that got me going in the right direction. SOLVED

Apparently, following directions is fairly important.This is on Windows 10. I read the instructions - specifically for Windows 10, start from the start menu. I did that - as administrator - and was able to launch 3dc. I added a shortcut to 3dc after successfully launching, and that worked also.
