Shift UP the layer will solve the issue, but it look as another problem

the UV mapping provided by Valve is overlapping, causing this

You can look UV opening Textures > UV editor, surely the scope covers everything

Well the answer is more complicated.

Turn wireframe mode ON to see UV islands and how are overlapped.

I suppose now that scope is occluded by gun body, is the same process.

Have you seen the video?

There is an explanation of the problem and how to solve what happens to you with the weapon

3DC only paints what is inside the UV coordinates at UV 0,0.
If the UV islands are outside those coordinates in another Tile, they will be excluded from the painting, surely that happens.

It cannot be solved because it is not possible to modify the original model.

But I don't think it's a problem because the UV scope only affects the glass of the telescopic sight.
