Crash confirmed and reported.

Try saving the file manually

File > Export for 3Dprinting .stl

And load into Blender: File > Import .stl

okay

Is it correct that due to the limitation of 40.000 triangelses, that i only can export my stl fil in 2-3 mb ?

That sound really small

If you are using 3dcprint then yes there are limitations. But for amateur printing, a resolution of 40,000 is quite enough.
