Member Ian Thompson Posted November 15, 2009 Member Report Share Posted November 15, 2009 Just a part of an idea that I'm working on. It's renedered and animated as a fly by in Vue Esprit. Here is the picture that I'm trying to develop into 3d, I created it years ago and always wanted to work with it a solid form. The voxel sculpture still needs more work. The idea of The Descendant is still a WIP in itself. It's random thoughts in space, descent into a void and a vision of what we may become. ?? Contributor 3d_sculptress Posted November 16, 2009 Contributor Report Share Posted November 16, 2009 the 'fly by in Vue Esprit' has lots of possibilities.....as for 'The Descendant', would be nice if you could situate the image on a plane where you could adjust the height, depths of certain areas...not sure if you could do that in 3DC...someone more experienced with 3DC may know, but Amorphium has that type of option, as well as Truespace...in 3DC, maybe if you used the image to create a shader, then you could use the 2D tool in the voxel room to paint on a plane with it, but you would need to up the size of the brush to the max in order to get a single image of it onto the plane.........(just food for thought) great artistic ideas going on here, tho... Contributor 3d_sculptress Posted November 17, 2009 Contributor Report Share Posted November 17, 2009 yes, I forgot about the voxel logo option,,that might work well... as for your link, just click on the 'chain link/with small green ball' icon, (it's right next to the smiley icon)...and insert your link ...you can also add text to it. great animation..the rocks resemble bone/skeleton in some areas...fantastic lighting effects. Advanced Member Scott Padbury Posted November 18, 2009 Advanced Member Report Share Posted November 18, 2009 You might want to try to Quadrangulate the object before you export so it is not so large since you are not animating the actual object it would save you on render time as well in Vue. Looks cool thou.
