Applink Developer haikalle Posted May 26, 2010 Applink Developer Report Share Posted May 26, 2010 This is quite bad. It dosen't happen with a basic sphere. You have sculpt some bumps like eyes etc.. Retopoly it -> Merge into scene (Micro) -> Export -> Disp. map for visible layers. I haven't tested these in my renderer but I assume that these lines are not there for reason. Here is a picture. Tested: win 7 , 3.3 Cuda 64bit I can send a file if needed but this should be quite easy to spot.

Andrew Shpagin
Does it happen with other export formats like tiff or 8-bit formats like bmp?
Applink Developer haikalle Posted May 26, 2010 Author Applink Developer Report Share Posted May 26, 2010 Dark lines in Exr and Tiff files. Tif and Bmp works okey. This is not so SOS anymore. I'm using Tif format for now. But I'm quite a big Exr file fan, so it would be nice to see fixed in the future. EDIT: exr works in texture baking tools. So I can bake my disp. maps from there.
