Advanced Member lc8b105 Posted January 3, 2008 Advanced Member Report Share Posted January 3, 2008 Can I load a normal map into 3DB ?For example,if I made a model in and creat a normal map in maya,then I want to load the model and the normal map into 3DB,creat a new layer and draw the normals,is it possible,or is it will possible in the future? The only way - recover displacement from normalmap and then import displacement. But it is not always good solution because of seams problem. Many peoples asked me about direct import of normalmap, so I think that I should do that. It is difficult mathematically, and the import process can take a long time, but I really want to do that, because it is the way how to import extremely hi-poly model to 3DB.
