Reputable Contributor AbnRanger Posted September 14, 2010 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted September 14, 2010 The hits just keep coming: http://area.autodesk.com/blogs/ken/3ds_max_2011_subscription_advantage_pack_revealed_iray_physx_substances I generally use finalRender (which already has an interactive preview renderer built in, as of R3), but it's nice to have so many good options to turn to. Advanced Member Grandmaster B Posted September 14, 2010 Advanced Member Report Share Posted September 14, 2010 The renderer looks and sounds great for architecture visualization!! But i wonder, Max had no real-time viewport physics until now?

But i wonder, Max had no real-time viewport physics until now? Some plugins did, but they used PhysX. Max's main dynamics engine is Reactor from Havoc. It has an interactive window instead of using the viewport.
Advanced Member Grandmaster B Posted September 15, 2010 Advanced Member Report Share Posted September 15, 2010 Ok, i thought that cant be, previewing physics behavior is important and they acted like its a new thing, implementation look very neat tho. Btw. i would feel forced to use Nvidia cards by all these features... I hope 3D-Coat is getting OpenCL support in the near future.
