Member designamyte Posted October 21, 2010 Member Report Share Posted October 21, 2010 Hello, i was sculpting all the time in the surface-mode, because it is faster than vox.-mode. I only switch to that other mode if i need new geometry or so. I think it would be nice if you switch from the surf.-mode to the vox.-mode with your sharp edges. Now it rounds up the edges, because it resurfaces the geometry, i guess. You can go higher in vox.-mode, but this would slow down your machine, extremly. So it would be cool, if there can be a checkbox with "keep your sharp edges" or something like that. If it´s possibly, from the technical aspect. cheers de. Taros
I guess, this is not possible as long as you don't have the right voxel resolution selected. The sharp edges in the surface mode will be always smoothed, because 3DC generates a new voxel cloud based on your polymesh in the surface mode. Member designamyte Posted October 24, 2010 Author Member Report Share Posted October 24, 2010 Hi, thank you for reply. I think you are right, but i thought it would be nice, if the "vox-cloud" get that sharp poly-edges, get the old "vox-cloud". As you say, currently it seems not possible, technicaly... greetings de. Like an angle estimation done on surface mode, if angle > x (x is the limit specified by the user): don't change the point cloud on the affected part when we switch back to voxel mode ?
