Contributor artman Posted November 6, 2010 Contributor Report Share Posted November 6, 2010 Its a monster that derivated from a darkelf steed I made earlier but felt stronger as a standalone thing. Mostly SF.Clay,Pinch and Inverted Chisel were used. Presence is there but it still has a lot of incomplete areas. Hope you like.
Advanced Member Garagarape Posted November 6, 2010 Advanced Member Report Share Posted November 6, 2010 I like! Could be an helmet for a kind of evil lord. Cool Baroque feel with all the details. Looking forward to seeing next shots.

Advanced Member michalis Posted November 6, 2010 Advanced Member Report Share Posted November 6, 2010 Its a solid sculpt. Its art anyway, a matter of composition. It looks complicated now, you need some huge 'silent' hard surfaces. A nice dialogue between them and more organic ones.
Contributor artman Posted November 7, 2010 Author Contributor Report Share Posted November 7, 2010 A nice dialogue between them and more organic ones. What you are saying is the most impotant thing when doing monsters. If everything is evenly detailed the monster looks bad. Thanx! This is what Im going for, this is why I left a lot of part devoid of tiny details ,once I sharpen everything it will look less noisy and more composed I guess.
