philnolan3d
3.5.06F DX 64 Cuda I accidentally made a mistake with a voxel layer called Tube. So I went into an older version of my project and exported that layer as a 3B. In the current project file I right clicked in the Vox Tree and picked Merge 3B File to load it. It seemed to work correctly but then when I moved the view around I noticed that the imported "Tube" layer is only visible on top of the other layers, like it's an overlay or projection. It's hard to explain so here's a video. http://screencast.com/t/kaoYIccS Another strange problem is that I now have two of these Tube layers, the messed up one and the one I merged. however I can can't select only one of them, every time I click one both are highlighted. Video of that: http://screencast.com/t/REAbN4pEk I restarted 3DC several and tried it times and the same thing always happened. The one way I found to avoid it was to delete the messed up layer first, then merge the replacement in. That way there is only one copy of that layer in the project at a time. Applink Developer haikalle Posted December 15, 2010 Applink Developer Report Share Posted December 15, 2010 I think that it something what I got here too. http://www.3d-coat.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=7121 Do you have 3b file that I can test of. Maybe filling report to mantis.
philnolan3d
Hmm... I just tried it again with a test object and it didn't happen, let me see if I can reduce my project to just the affected parts and send that. Edit: Nope, I can't make it happen at all now. Very odd, maybe just a problem on my end.
Applink Developer haikalle Posted December 16, 2010 Applink Developer Report Share Posted December 16, 2010 It's a bug for sure, because it's happened to me several times. I haven't figured ether how repeat it. It's very random. And for example if you save 3b or re open 3d-coat it's gone.
philnolan3d
Well maybe the thing you posted. I think this may be different. I restarted 3DC several times and it was doing it each time.
