mines currently working fine... i select the edges i wish to bridge and it does it... i cant figure out exactly what you need?

15m tris... and mesh gives weird lines in mesh ...

... im just thinking about maybe it would free up ui , help with sorting items.. be nice if the whole software was more universal ... theres alot of you cant use this because youre using that etc... im just thinking from my first experience .. till now and i still scratch my head wondering why... only thing i can think of is its made from a programmers perspective and not an artists , me personally i like to whip together whatever i can fast , with no to little interruptions as possible, just wondering what could help , what would make this more popular ... more widely used , quad topology has be confirmed which is nice that will help majorly with hard surface etc... what would be really nice is a roadmap... something where from users point of view we could upvote items that have a more important need .

can we have one layer system... so our mesh in sculpt room can instantly be changed in modelling room visa versa ... no polygroups ... just good old layers , you can find the wireframe for your sculpted mesh also .. and only then would you import from modelling or sculpting into painting room ... once its in painting room its remove from layers in sculpt... you can then bake to a selected mesh in the sculpt rooms and just choose the required name ... "polygroups" are confusing..... they arent needed .. the only thing that cant be minipulated in modelling would be voxels... unless you can do that ... that would be nice

dont worry the spline tool is fixed

... was hoping the spline tool for freeze would be fixed in .57

i was helping someone with freeze and spline tools ... im using 2022.56 and it crashes 3dcoat instantly if you use spline with freeze Desktop 07-01-2023 20-59-03.mp4

it does... there is two separate spline tools , you have the normal spline tool which makes the stroke follow the curve and closed spline tool which freezes the insides of a selection ..

when you are finished with the spline theres a icon top left that looks like a cd eject button , click that and your options to remove etc will be there

also change the splines edge smoothness with RMB like normal you can hover over the marked point and move them with LMB

dont use the spline tool.. it follows the curve instead use the 3d closed spline tool

... nurbs working?? man... 3dcoat is getting seriously confusing these days ... went to use a lattice tool expecting the traditional lattice as manipulating the box ... no, it adds volume to a selected edge... so strange , 99% of 3dcoat is so damn confusing , and ive used it for 3/4 years ... could we please not get any new features of anything ... just a cleaned up ui .. with clear tool usage .

thats a fair point they are defaulted.. not much out there as in terms of how tools and settings work etc..

because you can use them as carving tools ...

have you got a specific resoluiton,font size so i can test that

well i would test .... but making the font larger crashes the pc lol

dont get me wrong though ... if you currently have one right now ... 3dcoat will run nicely on it

i have a rather cheap build , i have a vega 64 , 10900k and 64 gb ram ... i have completely changed my storage to ssd not sure if it makes much difference

dont worry too much about gpu... get a good cpu , lots of ram ... a basic gpu will get you great results.. i use a vega 64 ... its cheap but i can sculpt 50-60 million and it doesnt slow down ..

no worries my man ... happy sculpting

32gb ram ... probably 20-40 million... however ... you wont be able to do much with it as it will be very slow

the export might be bugged.. use default settings for the mean time to work around .. ill try it later and see

hey so sorry... i didnt properly go into it and i gave the wrong advice sorry, if you click the camera in the top right and then customize navigation and it will give you the menu you see... left click the right side of the menu to scroll through, its not 100% clear what you will be changing but give it a try ... if not you can restore old settings anytime
