  1. I discovered the origin of the bug : It happens ONLY when i use my Wacom intuos 3 (wacom driver 4.63-3, WInXP64 sp2, Quadro FX 1500, driver Nvidia 162.62) I can't almost create points on a new curve or on an existing curve) I'm able to load stored curves. and move and resize existing points The curve tool works fine when i use the mouse Besides that, all the other tools works fine with my wacom,
  2. Did you changed something in your spline algo creation since 2.0 ? It seems that i can't create a curve anymore. even if i can load stored curves, and add point ON the curve (dosen' work for 2.04 Beta 2, and i don't have older beta to check WHEN exactly it happened.) i found also a bug with the equalize tool : after an equalize, some points don't stick to the surface, and i can't select them anymore.
  3. 2 suggestions : You should add a 'Snap to 45 and 90 degrees'options when you press the shift key while rotating the mask. you should add a gamma curve for the masks, brushes and testures in general. best. F.
  4. The nice thing about Ambiant Occlusion is that you can tune the Ray dsitance used to calculate occlusion. here is an example : Occlusion
  5. Thanks a lot. The mapping tool is both simple and very powerful.
  6. I've got 3 other suggestions : On the attached pic, On the light green cluster, you can hardly see the selected seam. Maybe you should change the cluster color scheme. could you add a checker texture when you're in UV edit mode to see the texture distortion ? Could you add a function to set the center of rotation of the camera, on the last selected seam, (or the last stroke stroke) automatically, or by pressing a key.
  7. seems great, but where in 3d brush do you find this tool ?
  8. auto hide mode when you draw a srtoke is fine. Thanks.
  9. Hello, I've got one feature request : when a material is active, it's rather difficult to see the what's going on while you paint and sculpt on the model you're working on. Why not hide the material overlay when you draw a stroke ?
  10. Just wonderoing how Bodypaint can manage multiple layered Psd texture ...
  11. near the Depth slider, on the Top tab, there's a S. Click on it, and you'll find the smooth slider
  12. I don't know if it's possible, but 3Dbrush could be the 1rst app capable of true editing of normal maps.
  13. Here is the question again
  14. hello Andrew, i've got one question in mind : Actually, in 3DB, i can display the low poly or the smooth model. I've worked on some game models, and in order to keep the display of the model in 3db as close as possible as the original rendered in the game engine, is it possible to have a mode that display a NON DISPLACED LOW POLY MODEL ? best. F.
  15. I think that there's no need for a pinch tool, just use a sharp pen tip you can select a different curve type (the upper licon in the left tray) a smudge tool is welcome and you can blur depth and color by pressing shift while painting.
  16. Hello. Could you add a slider like the Color, spec, depth ones for the smooth intensity ?
  17. The displacement/normal maps are nor very 'visible' and the result on the final rendered picture is really discreet. you should try to push the map values.... Nice job anyway.
  18. On the attached picture, you can see 2 strokes. The upper one was drawn using one of the first 3 freehand strokes, which give a more or less jaggy result. The lower stroke was drawn using the curve stroke. It is much more cleaner, but i had to set by hand each point of the curve. I was looking for a way to draw CLEAN FREEHAND strokes, and i thought of a new kind of stroke : a kind of automatically generated curve stroke, where the points of the curve are evenly sampled and spaced. It could be an alternative of the Zbrush Lazy Mouse Best. F.R.
  19. After a couple of hours playing with 3D brush, here are a few suggestions : I'd really like to have Multiple material support , each with it's own UV tile. OBJ format allow that, and it's a very common thing in production. have multiple models support have the ability to tweak the gamma or the brush curves of the pens/strips like zbrush do. have hotkeys to change the brush radius/depth/transparency on the fly, (Press a key : a slider appear, change it's value, release the key, it's done) have a color wheel instead of the default Windows color picker, and R G B and H L S sliders have the symetry axis centered around the model, instead of the world origin, have the ability to change the position and orientation of the symetry axis have the ability to center/frame the model on the screen with a hotkey best. F. R.
