  1. Agree, but don't forgot to include that in the per pixel mode We already have this in Mudbox, would be nice to have in 3DCoat.
  2. Would like to see node base textureing in 3DCoat also - this is whats missing as far as texture/material control goes. I do notice Andrew is running out of room to add buttons especially the VS room - i saw that coming along time ago, using the current method of stacking buttons/commands on top isn't the best move. 3DCoat is going to continue to grow expand and this issue will get worse over time. A quick remedy is to add the scroll bar where the tools/commands are - it would better to redesign the tool/command side of the GUI with years of expansion in mind.
  3. Great work Andrew! My favorite new feature has to be the realtime rendering room - which i'll try out tomorrow. edit: i just tried the real time stuff, doesn't seem to work?...i took a voxel sphere into the room, turn on real-time adjust some parameters..nothing happens.

I'd like to import a base mesh(low poly) with the initial subdivision following the catmull-clark subdivision surface rule this would make it interpolate better between Silo/Modo/LW3D,etc. The current subdivision option just isn't useful for me. being able to step up/down SubD levels in 3DC would be nice also, but thats icing on the cake. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catmull%E2%80%93Clark_subdivision_surface
  5. I even sent a PM to Andrew, it would be nice to have in 3DCoat you will still need UVs when u bake out to a game engine, but nevertheless its cool tech!

  8. the 6 pens are not preset AFAIK they are from my stamp folder(which arent included with 3DC)..but maybe you are right about the structure of the remaining pens. I'll just have to add them the manual way, one by one :|. it would just nice if i could select multiple pens like in Mudbox 2009 and add them all at once. All of my custom pens are just a single black/white image save as a png.
  9. sorry to bump a old thread, but where do i get this MSVC.dll? google fail. Im having trouble getting this plugin work for 3DC 3.00.06. its not showing up or loading.

  16. Yeah i agree 110% because everytime i look at that tool i get "lost" its not intuitive or industry standard gizmo.
  17. I have about 97 custom pens and i wonder if Andrew can implement a way to add all of them at one time. Currently you have to add them one at a time and it takes long time.
  18. I just bought my upgrade specifically for per pixel painting. I bought it because you seem to be addressing DP in your twitter blog: "- clone tool in DP mode works correctly with alphas and respects pen pressure" this is awesome! and also "I found the reason why layers operations like show/hide took so much time and fixed it" sweet! For what its worth i totally agree with 3dioot about the voxel sculpting and i hope you continue to refine and tweak it until it feels "right".
  19. I'll buy it soon also with the assumption that there be further Direct Paint updates in the future and knowing Andrew that's probably the case
  20. I had some problems with the renderer in alpha 86, i posted a picture of the issue in the 3.0 alpha thread. Once that gets fix i'll do some renders in 3DC and post them.
  21. turning on show/hide displacement i get this japanese/chinese character all over my model, this happens in retopology and the render room(alpha 86):
