  1. Since your working with curves now I thought I would request a function I've been wanting for awhile.I'll put this in feature request as well. Ability for curves to wrap around an object. -Create a couple of points and click closed. -Points are added incrementally around object -Align points (like the To line feature in paint mode.) Thank you.
  2. New curve functionality is cool. When pressing W to move, curves turn to wires.Maybe it could be overridden. Just noticed you can use mouse buttons to scale and move. That's cool.
  3. Just came across this today.Works great with 3dcoat.Would be nice to see integrated into coat. LazyNezumi http://people.happycoders.org/kamih/wordpress/?page_id=46
  4. Had an itch to make a generic space marine dude so I thought I'd try a blockout in 3dcoat and see how it went. That's pretty cool!
  5. Saul's Conversion Inspired by a renaissance work. Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord's disciples. He went to the high priest and asked him for letters to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any there who belonged to the Way, whether men or women, he might take them as prisoners to Jerusalem. As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, "Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?" "Who are you, Lord?" Saul asked. "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting," he replied. "Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do." (Acts 9)
  6. Been working on several pieces off and on lately. This is something fun I made yesterday.Maybe I'll work on it some more, maybe not.Voxel Sculpt. Exterminator
  7. 3DC 3.00.08D Any chance of putting zoom navigation back the way it was? Before you could zoom with mouse movement on angles;now it is constrained to axis.I find this less intuitive.
  8. You seem to be getting better all the time.I really enjoy your vid. tuts. keep them coming.
  9. Nice to see more talent around here. Please consider moving this thread to volumetric sculpting WIPs. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.
  10. I like it a lot!Great job Daniel.
  11. Personally I think this thread should be locked.I think all it does is stir up strife and contention which serves no purpose. There seems to be two sides of this issue, those that are offended by the EULA and those who except it.I for one have been drawn to this software mainly because of it's Christian founder and his good nature. When I first read the EULA I new immediately I wanted to support this developer because of his faith, it seems to have done the opposite to some others who refuse to buy it based off the EULA.I think that is a big loss to them as well as to Andrew and it makes me sad. It's not easy standing up for ones faith and some will be offended by any reference to it, but at the same time those with zeal for their faith need to share it. Andrew created a piece of software that can be used to create disturbing and offensive images and even promote Satanism if one chooses to do so which would go against his Christian beliefs. It is his wish that his software not be used for these purposes and I support that.If I made a gun I would wish people did not use it to murder. No one can stop one from doing what they will with anything that has been created, it is up to the individual in the end, but there are always consequences for our choices. I do not agree with the harsh statement pertaining to Infinates work.(at least what I have seen of it) but I respect the views of the author. I think the human body is the most beautiful of all of Gods creations and as artist we have a natural desire to emulate the work of the Master Artist. The female form is a master work that has and should find it's way into many art pieces and if tastefully done it can bring glory to God not offense to Him. Each person and culture has it's own standards of what is offensive and for that reason it is hard to make a decision when creating the art whether someone will take offense to it. In the end I feel as though it's up to the individual to use this software as he pleases, but I would hope it is used in a manner that is positive and inspiring. Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God I wish I could do all things to the glory of God,but I still dwell in a body that lusts after sin.Yes we are ALL sinners.
  12. I tried to remain silent on this issue, but passion arose. Paulrus, Thank you for taking such a strong stance on this subject. It seems today everything is exceptable in society except doing the will of God.There is Christian bashing all over the place these days and it seems to be cool to be a fool. This comes as no surprise for most Christians since Jesus said followers of Him would be persecuted for His namesake. I got news for you Christ haters out there,We win in the end.Don't believe it?Just let a little more time pass. But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. 19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. 20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. 21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me. 22 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak for their sin. 23 He that hateth me hateth my Father also. 24 If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father. 25 But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause. Now go back to sleep.
  13. Looks good. Thanks for the link!
  14. You have a very unique style Juan and your use of textures is superb.
  15. I guess we'll just leave it at that.I have no doubt some fine voxel sculpts will make it to this forum as time goes on.This is a very young program and most of us are still trying to master it's possibilities.I think so much could be improved with 3D-Coat and am looking forward to seeing it fully developed. You as well as many others have made some very good suggestions on improving this software, and if these suggestions are implemented the skies the limit. I think we need to start a new thread of feature requests and suggestions for version 4.0.It would be nice to have a vote bot for the most desired features or improvements so Andrew can focus on those areas. Masking Posing Brushes Painting\Textures Performance Vox Tree Interface Work flow Etc. Sculpting heads does not show the full potential of 3DC.Things become a whole lot more complicated when working with 50 vox tree layers. This work flow needs to be improved for sure. Peace, Rick
  16. 3didiot quote:Most people who use zbrush or mudbox and try 3dcoat disregard it for sculpting as inferior. I have seen voxel works online on blogs and forums that are on par and sometimes outshine the work that has been posted on this forum (except for renderdemon). Amazing! You have wonderfully and eloquently disregarded the many good works I have seen posted here on this forum.I guess you have either missed my works in progress or have failed to look at the voxel sculpting gallery lately. After 20 years of traditional sculpting under my belt and many months of 3d-coat practice I guess it's your opinion that it's still not good enough. Why don't you post the links of other voxel sculpts online that "outshine" all these works. Maybe I should stop contributing here till my work is perfect. 3D-Coat is good enough and will only get better.Perfection takes time. Rick Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:16
  17. Great job on everything Andrew!I'm happy for the release, this was quite an accomplishment and you should feel proud.3D-Coat has given me new inspiration and passion for sculpting that I haven't had for years. For that I'm thankful.
  18. Grief Grief is a multi-faceted response to loss. It includes the emotional numbness, disbelief, separation, anxiety, despair, sadness, and loneliness that accompany the loss of someone or something loved. Wiki How much in ones life remains unfinished?Too many thoughts so many ideas so little time. Time waits for no one at all the clock continues to tic on the wall shadows of the day pass as the night comes at last lay down your head to sleep tomorrow is yours to keep until the last day is gone when we shall sleep till eternities dawn
  19. LypsiK, this looks like a fun project, so have fun with it.I look forward to seeing this developed. I would continue to refine the anatomy more and sharpen the form.Google search animal anatomy for reference if you haven't done so already. Have fun!
  20. Problem with clone.Probably related to shader. Take a sphere set shader to bronze or other clone the sphere and move it clone the clone and you get huge lag. if you change shader of last clone lag clears up. This bug locked up my system and memory jumped way up till windows had to increase virtual memory. 3.03- nvidia 9800 -xp 64- cuda- 8 gig ram -square monitor
  21. alonzo quote:why all are working on a new logo? the existing one is perfect Taros quote:They have too much spare time. Why make comments like this?If someone wants to contribute to the development of 3DC let them. There is no such thing as human perfection, all things can be improved or at least modified to make it new and fresh.I am thankful that so many people want to contribute their time and effort into developing this wonderful software. Please continue your efforts on new logo, who knows, maybe one will make it's way to the final release.
  22. Your right I just copied my info to http://www.3d-coat.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=2690 I will continue there.
