Member SPACEY Posted January 18, 2013 Member Report Share Posted January 18, 2013 I just started using the trial of 3DCoat today and when I import models OBJ/LW they disappear when I switch to the Voxel tab. Also some of the Voxel sculpt tools(Cutoff) seem to be missing from the toolbar. Lastly, I saved a workspace, but it does not appear when I go to Restore. Are these trial version issues? Member SPACEY Posted January 20, 2013 Author Member Report Share Posted January 20, 2013 Do you always have to use Autopo after a sculpt in order to paint displacement? Is there a way to work back and forth between paint and voxel?
Carlosan
Voxel Room is an old name ready to be changed -old v3 legacy- Is Sculpt Room where you can find 2 Sculpt modes Voxels: good mode to make the overall shape. We begin here. Surfaces: better mode to add details before to do a retopo stage If you switch to surface mode (pressing the V -voxel mode- in the layer name switch the object to S -surface mode-) And now You yes can paint the object at paint room and back and forth between paint and voxel. Advanced Member alvordr Posted January 20, 2013 Advanced Member Report Share Posted January 20, 2013 When you import a model into the voxel room you have to hit Enter or the 'Apply' button to commit it to the room.
