Member DarkEdge Posted February 8, 2013 Author Member Report Share Posted February 8, 2013 Hmm, well I import with NoScaling press Enter, it asks if I want to SnapToRefMesh I select "No" because I am just importing an Obj file, I select the Group/Tweak/SplitRings...the screen highlights the loop I want to Split but when I press the mouse button nothing is happening...??? Psmith
Can you send us more information? We need to see which version you are using, your system specs and a set of screen shots or a short movie or an ordered list of steps you took to see the problem - to really provide you with help. Thanks, Greg Smith

Advanced Member alvordr Posted February 9, 2013 Advanced Member Report Share Posted February 9, 2013 I, too have had a similar experience with the Tweak room...I've found no real use for it, so far. That said, I'm still learning 3DC. I would have just gone the route of importing the mesh into the Retopo room and then using Points / Faces with Ctrl + Left Click on the edge I want to put an edge loop through. Member DarkEdge Posted February 10, 2013 Author Member Report Share Posted February 10, 2013 Okay, hopefully we can figure out what I am doing wrong...I appreciate all of your assistance. I import with NoScaling press Enter, it asks if I want to SnapToRefMesh I select "No" because I am just importing an Obj file, I select the Group/Tweak/SplitRings...then nothing. Carlosan
There is a 3.7.18H version upgrade: http://3d-coat.com/f...?showtopic=8887 GL is slow... try DX64 version if you have a nvidia card
Advanced Member alvordr Posted February 10, 2013 Advanced Member Report Share Posted February 10, 2013 It works for me, but I don't select any edges before-hand. I just use the split rings tool on an existing edge...float the cursor to move it in place and left click to commit the split.
