Advanced Member Vipera Posted February 25, 2013 Advanced Member Report Share Posted February 25, 2013 How can I rotate selected part of image using Transform/Copy tool in paint room? I can only move it around or change the scale but I don't know how to rotate it. Help me, please.
Contributor Tony Nemo Posted February 25, 2013 Contributor Report Share Posted February 25, 2013 You must rotate the sphere (it's 3D) not the bitmap (it's 2D).
Advanced Member Vipera Posted February 25, 2013 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted February 25, 2013 The help says: "Transform/copy tool. Drag the frame and select an area to be transferred. The frame acquired can be dragged, or rotated. Use SHIFT to preserve proportions. Use CTRL to drag vertices independently of each other. Press ESC to cancel the transformation and enter to apply it." http://3d-coat.com/w...3.6_Paint_Tools
Reputable Contributor digman Posted February 25, 2013 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted February 25, 2013 To rotate the stamp, place your brush cursor outside the stamp but keep the brush cursor over the model. Now hold down the shift key and LMB to rotate the stamp... Also very important to know... Resizing the stamp is not resampling. just resizing. you can lose the sharpness of the stamp. If you need the stamp to be smaller or larger depending upon what you are doing, resample it in your 2D paint program which can be invoked right in the stamp's tool box. (EDIT) You can set up your default 2D paint editor in the Preferences menu. Experiment with resizing and you will know when you need to resample and when it is not necessary.
