Mac version needs a bit more Maciness

OK just a few suggestions that should really solidify the Mac version.

1. The menu bar items should be moved up to the standard menu area to be consistent with the Mac interface.

2. Registration and Preferences/Options files should be stored in ~/Library/Application Support or /Library/Application Support so that they are not overwritten when dropping a new version's folder into Applications. (OS X deletes the old folder before copying the new folder over).

3. This is much less of an issue, and I'm not sure it's worth it but would be nice for OS X consistency. Use the OS X floating palettes instead of the palettes currently used.

Thanks!

Jeff
