Advanced Member Denis Posted February 10, 2015 Advanced Member Report Share Posted February 10, 2015 If I sculpted a tire then retopo the tire, could I duplicate the retopo of the first tire four time or do I have to do each one?
Contributor Malo Posted February 10, 2015 Contributor Report Share Posted February 10, 2015 You could copy it. Use duplicate, or if your tire is on his own layer, move the layer into the RTP Models field. From this place you could move a new one into the workspace.
Advanced Member Denis Posted February 10, 2015 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted February 10, 2015 Not sure I made myself clear. Is there any way to copy the retopo mesh I have on the one tire onto the three other sculpted voxel mesh. Or do I need to retopo all four tires? See screen capture below. Member coverman Posted February 11, 2015 Member Report Share Posted February 11, 2015 Step1. Export your retopo mesh form tool bar menu [Retopo]-[Export]. Step2. Create new retopo layer. [Windows]-[Popups]-[Groups] Step3. Import & move mesh [Retopo]-[import] maybe you can transfom in this step. If you want to move other retopo mesh. use select tool & transform tool. (rectangle brush is the best to select all faces)
Contributor Solution Malo Posted February 11, 2015 Contributor Solution Report Share Posted February 11, 2015 I show you what i mean. Hope that helps more. But sure, you could export and import it if you like that more.

Reputable Contributor digman Posted February 11, 2015 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted February 11, 2015 (edited) Another method as well. Select all the polygon faces for the tire retopo mesh which can be done in the retopo layers panel (icons at the bottom of the panel) and then use the Clone tool (left tool panel) It will create the clone and put it on it's own retopo layer after you press the enter key to apply the clone. What we really need is a flip axis function added to the transform tool panel for the Clones, Rtp models or imported meshes.
