Member kevjon Posted June 2, 2015 Member Report Share Posted June 2, 2015 I have uv mapped a model and want to rotate the texture of a PBR material so the grain in the handle runs vertical. I can't find any tools to do it. Anybody know if there is a way ?

Member kevjon Posted June 2, 2015 Author Member Report Share Posted June 2, 2015 (edited) Thanks Carlo Thanks for telling me what that yellow button does. I opened up the gizmo Ok and I can rotate the gizmo, but it has no effect on the rotation of the texture. Contributor Malo Posted June 2, 2015 Contributor Report Share Posted June 2, 2015 It dont rotate the painted areas, you have to paint it new.
Member kevjon Posted June 3, 2015 Author Member Report Share Posted June 3, 2015 Hi Malo Yep, I get that part, but when I rotate the texture using the yellow manipulator the texture in the PBR preview window does not rotate at all. The scaling and moving functions work fine in the preview window.
Contributor Malo Posted June 3, 2015 Contributor Report Share Posted June 3, 2015 I see your problem. Looks like only From Camera and CubeMapping support Rotation. Not sure if it is a bug or feature. Use Cubemapping instead if it is possible. Feel free to add your +1 http://3d-coat.com/mantis/view.php?id=1909
Member kevjon Posted June 3, 2015 Author Member Report Share Posted June 3, 2015 Feel free to add your +1 http://3d-coat.com/mantis/view.php?id=1909 Will do as I want it to work on uvmapped mesh items. Thanks for the tip about using the Cubemapping instead, I never thought of trying that option because the model is already uvmapped.
