Advanced Member Gary Dave Posted August 11, 2015 Advanced Member Report Share Posted August 11, 2015 Hey, so I need to texture an ungodly amount of straight lines onto my model, and the line tool is pretty decent for this, except for every scenario where there's an angle change in the line. It's a bit tedious to keep going back through all the points I've placed and changing them to be sharp angles, so I was wondering if there's a way to set the default curve type?I've tried changing the curve profiles.. ie, uniform, sharp.. but it still applies that automatic bend whenever there's a change in direction. Image for better explanation of what I would like to be my default placing:
Carlosan
Are you using snap to 2D grid ?
Advanced Member Gary Dave Posted August 12, 2015 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted August 12, 2015 I wasn't, but that doesn't appear to make a difference. The placement of my points is not the issue, it's the automatic "curve" that 3dc applies on an angle change. In the image I posted above, points were placed in each corner. The left shows what 3dc gives you by default, the right image is after going back through the points and right clicking on them. (or using "toggle hardness" in the spline paint tool menu and selecting each one individually.
