Member shape3d Posted September 5, 2015 Member Report Share Posted September 5, 2015 Hi, when I bake my sculpting in the paintroom, I get a layer called "Normalmap". On this layer I can use the hight adjustment tool but not the brush tool in depth mode. Why? If i want to add completely new depth, I have to add another layer. Member midnight_stories Posted September 7, 2015 Member Report Share Posted September 7, 2015 In the layers tab for that layer you may have to fibble with the Depth opacity setting try Magnify Depth instead of Add Depth.
Member shape3d Posted September 7, 2015 Author Member Report Share Posted September 7, 2015 Doesn't work. Make a test, import any object to paintroom, create a layer, switch mode from "Standard Blend" to "Normal" and try to paint depth, nothing happens. When you import an existing normal map, you can modify it with the height adjustment tool but not with the brush tool. So what is the best way to manipulate an existing normal map? Carlosan
3DC work in this way. Delete the bad zone in your current NM import Make changes in a new layer Export
