Vertex Paint - Channel Masking

Hi, sorry if this is the wrong place for requests.

One of the new features in Modo 10 is the ability to mask which channels are affected by vertex painting.  R|G|B|A or some combination can be included/excluded from vertex painting actions.

Is this a feature available in 3D Coat already and if not, could it be added?
