Reputable Contributor AbnRanger Posted July 21, 2016 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted July 21, 2016 As soon as Andrew can add Tool Groups, he said he was going to put a bunch of these among the default brushes. So, Polish will have a tool/brush group, Clay, Buildup, Rapid, Mud, etc. And it is supposed to work just like Photoshop's tool groups, to keep 3D Coat relatively Photoshop-centric in it's UI elements.
Reputable Contributor AbnRanger Posted July 21, 2016 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted July 21, 2016 This is what I mean by Tool Groups, just in case you didn't understand what I was referring to. The 2nd picture is some work one done by one of Jama's students, and most of them are not students in the traditional sense. They are artists in the field, just trying to polish their craft.
Member cgiink Posted July 21, 2016 Author Member Report Share Posted July 21, 2016 I've been testing the brushes, very impressive and quite smooth really. I'm impressed I have to admit. I need to run more tests on the brushes you sent me. Big Thank you AbnRanger! Really appreciated!
Reputable Contributor AbnRanger Posted July 21, 2016 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted July 21, 2016 Hope it helps paint a brighter picture for the sculpting tools. One the LC prefix brushes, depending on the size of your brush and density of your model, you may prefer to go to the Tool Options panel and bump the Detail parameter up a bit. The LC Gash probably needs to be bumped up to 3-4, rather than 2. And some of them have tooltips/notes, such as the "Buildup Soft." It uses tapering (icon to the right of the Radius parameter in the toolbar), so it works with singular strokes.
Member cgiink Posted July 21, 2016 Author Member Report Share Posted July 21, 2016 I think it will be much better and even more intuitive to group the tools, that's great news! Those are some really cool / nice Hard Surfaces. But first let me focus on my croc tutorial I'm following
