Advanced Member Falconius Posted May 31, 2018 Advanced Member Report Share Posted May 31, 2018 A few things you could try. 1) Increase the density of the voxels (the reason it's pulling spikes is because its grabbing those voxels and not the surrounding ones). 2) Switch to surface mode (hit the little V next to the object name). 3) Try the pose tool instead. I find that the move tool doesn't really do what I want it to do, it never seems to grab deep enough, and it only affects the thing right under the brush where as I'd prefer it to drag things even outside of the brush influence.

Thank you! The reason was what Carlosan had said before that. Do you think the brush move can be replaced by a pose? Do you do this and it's convenient? Can I ask you about my problemme which has long haunted me? When I do a mirror, I get such an effect http://take.ms/oUkIh and in the second case I get such a result http://take.ms/O40lh Did it happen to you? Advanced Member Falconius Posted June 4, 2018 Advanced Member Report Share Posted June 4, 2018 That looks super irritating to deal with, but I don't spend enough time in the retopo room to help you out really. I'm not very familiar with it.

It is a nondestructive method of working, which I really like. It also allows you to snap the edges of polygons along the symmetry line using "mirror snapping". It is a nondestructive method of working, allowing for quick and easy changes to symmetrical models. I prefer to always leave it on during retopo, but it does have one slightly annoying bug: It doesn't work with the strokes tool. The workaround is to turn symmetry off temporarily and delete the unwanted faces it has created. This isn't a big deal, but I will report this bug when I get around to it. FYI, here are two threads about this same exact topic that will probably answer any other questions you might have: http://3d-coat.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=9674&st=0&p=74468&hl=+virtual%20+mirror&fromsearch=1entry74468 and: http://3d-coat.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=9673&st=0&p=74485&hl=+virtual%20+mirror&fromsearch=1entry74485
