New Member Raxtaris Posted October 9, 2018 New Member Report Share Posted October 9, 2018 After "Construct New Shader" - based on some basic shader (metal, paint, fabric), I've got some strange shader preview. In main window everything seems ok, but the preview / thumbnail is useless. I have this bug almost all the time - with previous and current (4.8.23) versions - both DX and GL. GeForce 1060 - updating drivers doesn't solve the problem. Thanks
Advanced Member Falconius Posted October 9, 2018 Advanced Member Report Share Posted October 9, 2018 Interesting, that same thing has happened to parts of my models before too. It can get really annoying and hard to fix without actually painting them.
Carlosan
Try to load any default project and test again. Sometimes if the models are very tiny, for the algorithm its hard to fill the mesh with the shader settings.
Advanced Member Falconius Posted October 10, 2018 Advanced Member Report Share Posted October 10, 2018 I don't think that's it, when it has happened on my models they were previously fine and then somthing happens to screw up small patches of them with that purple. Not sure if its cause by simply moving something around or if I changed the shaders on those parts. It happened a long time ago and I don't remember. I think I've also seen the bug where it affects the shader preview model as the OP has.
Carlosan
What if you RMB over the shader and select Refresh all Preview.
