Member bcgreen24 Posted December 20, 2021 Member Report Share Posted December 20, 2021 Quick question: is there a way to move kitbash parts around (in the Kitbash room) after they've been placed? I placed a bunch of parts, and realized that one of them needs to be adjusted-- do I have to start from scratch? Also: how do you merge the kitbashed parts onto the geometry when you're finished? Thanks! Bryan
Member bcgreen24 Posted December 20, 2021 Author Member Report Share Posted December 20, 2021 OK, I managed to answer my first question myself; I see that there is a way to split all 'joints' into separate layers, each of which can be transformed individually. But, now: how do you merge the kitbashed parts onto the main geometry when you're finished?
Carlosan
You mean exporting as obj like example ?
Member bcgreen24 Posted December 20, 2021 Author Member Report Share Posted December 20, 2021 (edited) No, I mean when you return to the 'Modeling' room, you're not able to edit the parts that have been 'kitbashed' onto the main model. How do you combine the kitbash parts with the model so you can perform polygonal modeling on the whole thing? At this point, when I return to the 'modeling' room, I can only affect the original model, not the kitbash parts. The documentation is virtually non-existent for the 'kitbashing' room. Member houGenie2 Posted December 21, 2021 Member Report Share Posted December 21, 2021 if you click apply button in the curve tool options (in kitbash room). the parts will get voxelized into the current layers.
Carlosan
Try this just import the object in the Retopo room and start to set the joints with the Make Joints Tool.
