Member michaelws Posted February 19, 2023 Member Report Share Posted February 19, 2023 I am pretty new to using 3D Coat. I have owned it for quite a while but never used it. I am painting a dog, modeled in Blender, using 3D Coat. I don't understand the layer system in 3D Coat but it appears that there are several. Maybe one is created for each of the objects I am painting in the file. I have the Body layer and the Gums layer, etc. Somehow I painted on a layer other than the body layer but I didn't realize it until this morning when I noticed that with the Body layer selected I was not able to paint over certain colors I had painted previously. So I started turning on and off the layers (clicking the eye icon) and I realized those colors were painted accidentally on layers other than the boy layer. I don't want to lose those colors by going to the other layers and erasing. Is there a way to copy from one layer (or cut) and then paste those painted areas to the body layer? Thanks for any help with this.
