How do you make an instance not an instance?

Yes, the command is on Instancer Tool Options panel

Press the eye icon to hide/unhide sculpt layers

Instancer tool has "un-instance all" button.

Right, I get it now. I saw someone else answer with this but it made no sense. To un-instance something, go to the transform tool, hover over it and click the instancer tool. There you'll see the tool options to un-instance all.

this also confused me at first. i was looking in one of the main menu options under geometry or right click on sculpt model menu. its a core function. i was not expecting it to be bundled into the instancer tool.
