Member bcgreen24 Posted July 13, 2023 Member Report Share Posted July 13, 2023 (edited) Is this how it's supposed to work, or is this a bug? When I have a cube in front orthographic view and paint a face, color ends up getting applied to all the adjacent faces.... Thanks, Bryan Edited July 13, 2023 by bcgreen24
Carlosan
Are you using the default cube ? If not try with any default model at startup

Carlosan
Sorry, i dont know how to replicate this issue. Testing 2023.23 it is working as expected
Member bcgreen24 Posted July 13, 2023 Author Member Report Share Posted July 13, 2023 The issue is not that I can't paint on the object (as you can see in my screenshot)...the issue is that when I am in an orthographic view, I would expect to be able to paint on a cube's surface without the paint affecting the adjacent faces. Carlosan
The brush follow mesh contour, Since the edges are not perfectly flat but rather the model has a bevel, the painting accommodates following the geometry. Try single polygon stroke, it will help
