Advanced Member Ratchet Posted September 24, 2009 Advanced Member Report Share Posted September 24, 2009 Well , in 3D modeling we can encounter lot of cylinder's like shapes : Arms, legs , torso , any other thing ! 3D Coat have very good tools : - draw lines that turns into circles around cylindre - draw lines to defines the number of sides of the cylinder A shorcut could be : - draw only two circles : start circle : example at beginning of the arm end circle : example at the end of the arm - choose How many sides for cylinder - choose how many circles between start circle to end circle. And the dool would draw all the faces : It would be to you to tweek loop or anything if needed ! Just an idea.
Contributor Tony Nemo Posted September 24, 2009 Contributor Report Share Posted September 24, 2009 The procedure I follow is (1)to "draw circles" as many times as I want which I think is faster than and more intuitive than typing a number in a field ("choose how many circles between start circle to end circle"). (2) One line down the length. (3) Hit the Enter key (if the default 12 segments in the circumference is the desired number). This field is up at the top. "And the dool would draw all the faces" is the default.
