Advanced Member Ratchet Posted September 27, 2009 Advanced Member Report Share Posted September 27, 2009 Well during retopology we have great tools, but if found i could go faster in some details so i post a feature request , to see if it makes senses ? In retopo faces construction : - Ability to select loop edges. - Ability to extrude selected edges. Could be very usefull shortcut , avoiding to call several add quads ? What you think ? Contributor Tony Nemo Posted September 27, 2009 Contributor Report Share Posted September 27, 2009 So if you select an edge loop for UV clusters, then use that selection for "Parallel" style quad creation? Sounds a good idea. Faster than a stroke with numerous small strokes to create a parallel row of quads.
Advanced Member Ratchet Posted September 27, 2009 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted September 27, 2009 Yep ! It could be some border , not necessary a loop ! Just for example a simple front torso armor : you would just extrude several times from low to high, than adjust side vertex , to have the good shape ! Like in traditional modeling, it could have lot of uses !

Advanced Member rimasson Posted September 30, 2009 Advanced Member Report Share Posted September 30, 2009 +1... Would be incredibly useful and a great time saver... you can already do that. Use the select tool to select some edges, then extrude them.
Advanced Member Ratchet Posted October 5, 2009 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted October 5, 2009 What is the menu to extrude ? didn't seen it in retopology ?
Contributor Tony Nemo Posted October 5, 2009 Contributor Report Share Posted October 5, 2009 The only 'extrude' like command I saw was for a single edge in the Quad tool.
